Mystery Diner – “Noodles & Crepes”

Noodles and Crepes are not something we would personally put together on a menu. We have however been eager to give the restaurant a try since hearing about its opening. It’s a great location on Hwy 372 which is one of the reasons we chose to eat there for our date night out away from the kids. They are open 11 am-9 pm every day except Tuesdays when they are closed.

It was so nice that the server had great recommendations and knowledge of the menu. She was able to answer all our questions and made deciding what to eat very simple. My husband had tried a couple of their items at a previous time and wanted to give their Pho soup a try since he is a big fan. He also tried and loved the “Thai Iced Tea.” I love crepes so chose to order their custom savory crepe with turkey breast. A special that was running at the time gave us a discount on an appetizer since we purchased an entree, so we also shared a rainbow potsticker dish.

The appetizer was a colorful and flavorful addition to the meal, and it came with a perfect dipping sauce that added a savory element to an already great tasting filling. Turkey menu items are usually my go-to choice at any restaurant, and the flavor combinations were a nice change from my usual. The crepe had a rich egg flavor, the veggies tasted fresh, and the tomato sauce was at first bite not what I expected, but the more I ate the more I realized how nicely it tied together all the flavors. It was a large enough portion, to our kids’ delight, that I had enough to bring them some to try.

Although it may not be our first choice place to get Pho, it was definitely the best we’ve tried in Pahrump so far, and we would likely order it again. The soup included delicious rice noodles with a great rich broth, and once again was a good size portion so we had leftovers.

I hear their dessert crepe is loaded with sweet flavors and large enough to share, but we were so full this time that we will certainly be making a return visit to eat there again, and try it out for ourselves! We might even bring the kids next time as it would be a family-friendly place to eat.

For those of you from California who are worried about the danger that plastic straws pose to our environment, you can rest easy knowing this restaurant has chosen to go with paper straws in your beverages. The service was friendly during the whole experience, and we enjoyed eating at Noodles and Crepes.
